THE MYTH AND THE FACT
Myth: Ingredients bought in bulk for achar-making means they can’tbe checked piece by piece.
Fact: Not at JhaJi Store. Every ingredient is sourced in bulk but checked crate by crate. Wrinkled or spotted pieces are removed
before they ever reach production.
WHO ACTUALLY MAKES THIS
RECONSIDER: Three decades of pickling. A business for five years. A team that's grown to fifty.
A lot of women who used to make achar at home stopped, not because they wanted to, but because the time for it stopped being there. That’s exactly the gap this pack is meant to fill, not a replacement for your
kitchen, just the same standards without the weeks it takes.
Made by Kalpana Jha and Uma Jha, in Darbhanga. The recipes were passed down from mother to daughter. Every batch is tasted by expert mom-chefs before it ships.
Hand-mixed, oil-sealed, and sun-cured, the same way it’s been done in this kitchen for years.
WHAT EACH JAR ACTUALLY GOES THROUGH
RECONSIDER: It's easy to print "traditional recipe" on a label. Harder to actually follow the process that earns it.
RECONSIDER: Here's the one thing that makes each jar in this pack genuinely traditional, not just labelled that way:

QUESTIONS
Before you order
Do you check every piece, or just the batch overall?
Every crate is checked piece by piece before anything goes into the masala. Spotted or overripe pieces are pulled out first, not sorted after the fact.
Is the mustard oil heated before it’s added?
Yes. It’s prepared at the right temperature before it goes in, never poured in raw.
Does this pack contain garlic?
Yes. Two of the five jars use garlic — Garlic Ginger Green Chilli Mix and Tomato Garlic Chilli Chutney. If you’d rather avoid garlic entirely, the No Garlic Sample Pack is a separate five-jar set.
How long does it last?
18 months for the pickles. 12 months for the Tomato Garlic Chilli Chutney, since it’s cooked rather than sun-cured. 6 months for the Kheer Mixes.
How should I store these?
Cool, dry place — not the fridge. Stir before use and always scoop with a dry spoon.
How long does delivery take?
5 to 7 days, delivered pan-India. Both COD and UPI are available at checkout.
