Welcome to JhaJi Store! Our name, Jha, is all about where we come from—the land of Mithilanchal in Bihar.
The word Ji at the end is a friendly and respectful greeting we use with each other. In fact, Kalpana Ji addresses her husband as JhaJi.

Meet Darbhanga Ki Famous Nanad-Bhabhi Ki Jodi - Kalpana Jha and Uma Jha, owner of the business of JhaJi Store.
They announced their passion for pickling to the world from the stage of Shark Tank India in December, 2021.
Their homemade delights were a hit with the friends and family. They took this art perfected over 20+ years and decided to share the authentic Taste of Mithila with everyone.
Featured on Shark Tank India, their story touched hearts nationwide.

Kalpana Ji and Uma Ji appeared on the first season of Sony TV's Shark Tank India in December, 2021. Judges and viewers from all corners fell in love with our pickles.
Sales tripled overnight, and Uma Ji couldn't help but say, "It felt like a miracle happened!"
Judges on Shark Tank India initially said no to our investment pitch. But People from all over India jumped in to help us out!
Lenders and angel investors offered us capital. Even Vinita Singh and Namita Thapar from Shark Tank changed their minds. Ultimately, we raised more than Rs. 1 Cr at twice the valuation we asked for in Shark Tank.

Unable to find a local match, we built it from scratch, nestled amid green farms. Close to our team's homes, the factory tripled our production.
With leveled land and a spacious shed, it's a big upgrade from Kalpana Ji's backyard.
Now, we're gearing up to meet international food processing standards, ensuring the best for our pickle lovers!
Reaching Customers Regionally: New Warehouses
Previously shipping all orders from Darbhanga, we've now strategically placed warehouses in Delhi, Patna, and Bengaluru. This regional approach minimizes costs and delivers faster.
Our team operates Patna and Gurgaon, while Bengaluru runs seamlessly with the support of our partner, Emiza Warehousing.
With this network, we now meet the demand of over 10,000 monthly orders.

Plus, we whipped up Imli Chutney and Lal Mirch Lahsun Chutney—perfect buddies for Samosas and Momos.

This product innovation was driven by customer feedback. Many first-time pickle lovers, tasting Maithili flavors for the first time, didn't know what to expect. Pickles they selected sometimes differed in spice and tanginess from what they were expecting.
So, we crafted packs with 4 or 8 flavors in cute 100g jars. Our team curated top picks for you to explore before committing to larger jars.

When COVID hit, many lost jobs. People coming back home had no work. JhaJi Store stepped in, offering jobs in tough times.
We pay generously and support hiring more than one members from the same family. As a result, Incomes go up for the whole family by a lot. Families can then invest in kids' education and improve their lives.
