PICKLE 1 / Sookha Bharua Mango Pickle
Tastes: Tangy, Spicy, Sour, and Salty
Color: Is dark brown, and takes darker shades as the pickle matures.
A unique, authentically Bihari, dry mango pickle enjoyed with Dal Chawal, roti, or your favorite afternoon snack. Also known as Aam ka Phada (आम का फाड़ा), this is made with long mango pieces, wrapped in spices, dipped into oil, and dried in the sun.

I liked most of these pickles expect lal mirch-lashun chuntney and garlic ginger green chilli mix..
Pices of garlic is too big..
Please use grated or very small pieces of garlic so that they don’t dominate the taste of pickle..
Lal mirch- lahsun chutney has a very pungent smell .. do improve these..

Jha Ji Aachar ke baare me ab kya bolun...Sookha Bharua Aam ka achar ke pehle bite ne mujhe gaon ki yaad dila di....nani aur ammi jab chat par kache aam ko sukhati thi, to mera kaam usse chidiyon se bachana tha, phir baad me ghar ke banaye masale me use tyaar kar ke jab sarso me duba ke rakhti thi, to phir mai bade shaukh se intezaar karta tha ki woh jaldi se tayyar ho jaye aur phir use mai Dal bhaat ke saath khaun........ phir mai bada hogaya aur har chuthi mai mummy se 2-3 aachar ki botalein lekar hostel jaata tha....... Aaj jha ji ke aachar ne meri bachpan ki yaaaden taza kardi...... Mai aapka bahut shukriya karta hun yeh bachpan ki yaadon ka aachar humein bhejne ke liye..... Bihar lagta hai ab mere Bangalore ke Kitchen me hein

My jiju ordered one after seeing it on sharks tank and they could not stop themselves of praising enough...so finally I ordered the sample pack...indeed this are worthy of the praise...my mother who hated store bought achar also loved it when she tasted yours...me and Maa, we both loved khatta meetha achar the most and finished it first...we also loved your mithila special mango which goes perfect with dal-chawal or kichdi. And Kuccha mango goes perfect with roti or paratha and Chai. I am not a big fan of garlic but my mother is, so she kept both the garlic, green chilli, ginger achar and lal Mitch lahsun achar... Panchranga was also great but it would have been better if carrot and shalgam pieces were a little bigger in sizes. On the other hand, Kathal achar pieces were much bigger and I did not like much. Lastly Thank you, you are a savior for people like us who don't have the art of achar making but loves it. I request you to please maintain the quality and taste...looking forward to reorder and taste other varieties.

All of us in the Bay Area (California, USA), born in India in the 1980s, acquired that unique homemade taste from UP, Bihar region. I never found any pickle brands available in the USA at Indian stores that provide that childhood unique ghar ka taste. Every other brand was commercialized, but when I brought Jha Ji pickles this time arriving in the USA, it blew my mind and brought back childhood memories and that attachment & craving for pickles, remember that mitha aam ka achar with paratha as morning breakfast before rushing to school, it's just "wow", I can pay anything for this memory.
