More About the Pickle

Three Traditional Bihari Pickles • No Garlic • Founder’s Choice

This is Kalpana’s favourite pickle pack — a small collection of flavours she returns to again and again.

For Kalpana ji, pickles are not just food. They are memories packed in mustard oil.

These three are closest to her heart:

🌶️ Lal Mirch Bharua, reminding her of wedding meals back home

🥭 Sookha Bharua Mango, for everyday lunches

🍈 Kathal Pickle, made every summer with her mother

This pack is her way of sending a piece of home to anyone who misses Bihar’s real taste.

Each pickle comes in a 150g easy-to-store jar, enough for 4–7 mealsperfect for tasting, sharing, and remembering.

🌶️ What’s Inside & How it Tastes

Lal Mirch Bharua (Stuffed Red Chilli Pickle)

Taste: Spicy • Bold • Deeply savoury

What this pickle is:
A classic stuffed red chilli pickle from Bihar and eastern UP, made using thick-skinned red chillies ideal for stuffing.

Each chilli is carefully deseeded and hand-stuffed with roasted spices and mustard oil. The chilli seeds are mixed back into the masala, giving the pickle its slow-building heat and depth.

Sun-matured patiently, this is a powerful pickle — meant to be eaten in small quantities.

Best with: Dal–chawal, poori–bhujia, dahi-choora, paratha

Kathal (Jackfruit) Pickle

Taste: Hearty • Earthy • Moderately spicy

What this pickle is:
A traditional jackfruit pickle made using raw, tender kathal pieces.

The jackfruit is cut and steamed before pickling, allowing it to soften naturally without breaking. It is then marinated, spiced, and sun-matured in mustard oil.
This pickle feels substantial — often treated like a sabzi on the plate.

Best with: Dal–chawal, roti–sabzi, khichdi

Sookha Bharua Mango Pickle:

Taste: Tangy • Spicy • Masaledaar

What this pickle is:
A traditional sun-dried, stuffed raw mango pickle from Mithila.

Raw mango pieces are sun-dried until firm, then stuffed with roasted spices and mustard oil. Unlike juicy mango pickles, this one is dry, intense, and concentrated.
The masala clings to the mango, delivering bold flavour in very small quantities.

Best with: Paratha, dal–chawal, poori

Upgrade Variant Includes (50g each):

  1. Instant Makhana Kheer Mix (Kesar Flavor): Fragrant saffron makhana kheer mix – sweet, creamy, festive.
  2. Instant Makhana Kheer Mix (Coconut Flavor): Lightly sweet coconut makhana kheer mix – mild, fresh, comforting.

These are not modern twists or experimental flavours.
They are true to the roots, made by women who know:

✔️ when a chilli is ready to be stuffed

This pack feels like being invited to eat at someone’s home.
